Pinetree Retreat

Comfortable, accessible, clean unit near the Canyons Ski Resort Positive: Location was good. There was adequate parking, and access is on the ground floor. Host sent us the key code and other information about using the unit (with the exception of the fireplace). It was comfortable, fairly updated (it is an older complex, but we knew that), and clean. We opted not to walk to the hot tub. Negative: Most short-term rental places we've stayed at provide bath soap & shampoo (there is hand soap and the kitchen is well stocked with coffee, etc.), but there wasn't any in this unit, so plan accordingly. Also, we couldn't figure out how to use the gas fireplace, and the host didn't send instructions (we couldn't find any in the unit). There was a small remote that we thought might operate it, but it either needed batteries or it wasn't what it was for. This was disappointing because part of the reason we chose the unit was that it had a fireplace. So, just make a point of asking about operating the fireplace before you arrive. Also, I didn't know until we were notified with access information a few days before our stay that check-out is at 10 a.m. Again, not a problem for us, but since most places have check-out at 11 or noon, one should be made aware of that.

Good quirky comfortable place to stay in canyon village Positive: Comfortable and well equipped place in canyon village worked well for our group of four. The layout is quirky in a good way- a jack and Jill bathroom, a bar but no table for kitchen and dining, and three seats in the living room. Parking was right out front and the location is good. Negative: Pool and hot tub facility was crowded and rowdy in the late afternoon

A lovely comfy stay in the mountains Positive: I loved this little cabin and would happily stay again. It was cozy, well stocked, easy to get to. In a great location for skiing and Sundance and a quick drive from Salt Lake. The host was super responsive and honestly made everything super easy.

This place is amazing and in a perfect location. I would definitely recommend it. It’s very cozy and close to shopping centers, as well as a ski resort and tubing. Great communication with the host and quick to take action.
